History in the Making

From a crazy idea to reality.

The Tap Truck mobile bar saga continues in South Nashville.

About Tap Truck South Nash

Angie and Patrick met in 2004 as a vocalist and audio engineer in the Air Force Band in Warner Robins, GA. They both separated from active duty service circa 2006 and moved to Nashville to pursue careers in music.  After a decade on the road (and in the friend-zone), Patrick proposed and they were married in 2015. There, the Johnston family was born. Gigs took a backseat to kids and it was “farewell music biz, hello homestead life!” In 2017, they settled on six beautiful acres in Spring Hill, TN where they thoroughly enjoy watching their free-range chickens turn bugs into fresh eggs, and their free range kids run amuck in bare feet.

Angie continues to serve in the TN Air National Guard, and during a 2020 training mission in Arkansas she befriended the owner of Tap Truck Ozarks, who is also a National Guard member.  Angie returned from the trip excited to discuss the concept with Patrick, an avid craft beer and classic car lover. After a lot of time thinking, praying, and soul searching, they decided it was time for the next adventure…the Tap Truck adventure. Their only concern was that there already happened to be a Tap Truck Nashville! Knowing there was still growth opportunity in the area, Corbin O’Reilly, owner of Tap Truck USA, put them in touch with the owners of Tap Truck Nashville. As grace would have it, the Nashville crew welcomed the help in serving the southern end of Middle TN. They even ushered Angie and Patrick into the Tap Truck family by helping in the process of acquiring and setting up “Stella Mae,” their 1947 Chevrolet Panel Delivery truck. And so began the story of Tap Truck South Nash!

From Lewisburg to Spring Hill, Williamsport to Murfreesboro, and all points in between, Stella can be seen bringing smiles and ice-cold craft beer, wine, mixed drinks and other beverages to weddings, parties, festivals, corporate and sporting events and much more.
